DENVER, CO – March 26, 2018 – JCR Capital, an alternative investment manager focused on middle-market commercial real estate investments, today announced the hire of George Rupp as Managing Director of Capital Formation. The strategic addition and formation of an internal capital markets team will help JCR Capital build upon its rapid growth over the past eight years, during which the firm increased its assets under management from $30 million to nearly $1 billion – including more than $300 million added in 2017 alone.
Rupp will oversee JCR Capital’s marketing and fundraising efforts as it continues to attract investors for its diversified suite of private equity and debt strategies. Rupp brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services and investment management industries, including stints at investment bank Merrill Lynch & Co. and advisory firm PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York. Prior to joining JCR Capital, he served as a senior member of the institutional client relations and business development group at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, a Los Angeles-based middle-market alternative investment manager with over $25 billion in assets under management. His experience also includes a five-year term as an executive with a privately held Central Eastern European commercial real estate investment company, for which he oversaw and managed all U.S. activities, investments and operations.
Jay Rollins, President and CEO of JCR Capital, said “We are very pleased to have George join JCR Capital. Forming an internal marketing team to maintain a permanent presence in the institutional capital markets was the next step in JCR’s growth process. George will anchor the team and brings a wealth of capital raising and financial advisory experiences along with deep relationships throughout the institutional and private investing communities.”
